How to perform

§ 02 · Steps
  1. 01

Lie on your back on the floor and raise your knees to a 90-degree angle so your thighs are vertical.

  2. 02

Brace your core and gently press your lower back into the floor. Keep your neck neutral and your gaze toward the ceiling.

  3. 03

Crunch your upper body up while simultaneously pulling your knees toward your chest so your pelvis tilts slightly backward, and squeeze your abs as hard as possible.

  4. 04

Lower yourself back to the starting position under control so your shoulder blades and pelvis return to the floor without your lower back lifting off uncontrollably.

Tips

§ 04 · Tips

Keep the movement short and sharp: think about bringing your ribs toward your pelvis rather than pulling with your neck. Exhale during the crunch and keep your lower back in contact with the floor.
