  1. 01

    Kneel in front of the high cable, either with your back to the machine or facing it, whichever feels more stable.

  2. 02

    Hold the rope attachment with your hands behind your neck or at your forehead.

  3. 03

    Crunch down by rounding your upper back, bringing your rib cage toward your pelvis.

  4. 04

    Return to the starting position under control and keep tension in your abs.

What it should feel like

You should feel it in your abs, especially at the bottom of the crunch. It should not be felt in your lower back or arms.

Most common mistake

A common mistake is pulling the rope with your arms. Keep your hands in place and crunch by rounding your upper back and using your abs.
