How to perform

§ 02 · Steps
  1. 01

    Lie face down on the lever-style T-bar row machine with your chest against the pad and your feet firmly on the platform.

  2. 02

    Grip the handles and brace your core so your back stays neutral and your shoulder blades are controlled in the forward position at the start.

  3. 03

    Pull the handles toward your lower chest or upper abdomen with your elbows close to your body, and pull your shoulder blades together at the end of the movement.

  4. 04

    Pause briefly and squeeze your back without letting your chest come off the pad.

  5. 05

    Lower the weight under control back to a full stretch and allow your shoulder blades to move forward without jerking.

Keep your chest against the pad and avoid extending your lower back during the pull. Think about driving your elbows back, and stop the movement before your shoulders start rising toward your ears.
