Lie face down on the machine with your hips resting at the edge of the pad and the lower leg pad positioned just above your Achilles tendon.

Adjust the pad and the resistance so your knees are aligned with the machine's pivot point and the selected load allows for controlled movement.

Brace your core, keep your hips firmly against the pad, and hold the machine's handles if needed for added stability.

Curl your heels toward your glutes by bending your knees, and squeeze your hamstrings briefly at the top.

Lower the weight under control, and do not lock your knees at the top or bottom of the movement.

You should feel it in your hamstrings. It should not be felt mainly in your lower back or by lifting your hips off the pad.
A common mistake is lifting your hips to move more weight. Keep your hips planted and lower the weight under control.
