Sit at the plate-loaded lever lateral pulldown machine with your thighs secured under the pads and your chest up.

Grip the handles with a neutral or slightly overhand grip, lightly brace your core, and keep your shoulders down.

Pull the handles down and out to the sides along the curved path toward your sides, leading with your elbows while pulling your shoulder blades back and down.

Pause briefly at the bottom and firmly squeeze your lats without leaning back or jerking the weight.

Return the handles to the top under control, allowing your shoulder blades to rise naturally while keeping your chest open and the movement symmetrical.
