Cable Standing Back Wrist Curl

This exercise targets the forearm extensors and is well suited for isolating the forearms with a cable.

How to perform

§ 02 · Steps
  1. 01

    Stand in front of the cable machine, set the cable to the lowest position, attach the handle, and brace your core.

  2. 02

    Grip the handle with an overhand grip and support your forearm against your thigh or the edge of a bench so that only your wrist moves.

  3. 03

    Lower your wrist under control into extension until you feel a stretch across the top of your forearm.

  4. 04

    Raise the back of your hand toward yourself by extending your wrist and squeeze at the top without lifting your forearm off the support.

  5. 05

    Return slowly to the starting position and repeat while keeping a steady tempo.
