Set an incline bench to approximately 30–45°, keep your back and shoulder blades firmly against the bench, and brace your core.

Grip the cable handles from a low or shoulder-height position with your palms facing forward and your elbows slightly bent.

Raise your arms diagonally upward toward your upper chest in a controlled motion, and squeeze your chest muscles at the top.

Return to the starting position under control while stretching your chest, and maintain the same elbow angle throughout the movement.

You should feel it in your chest, especially the upper chest. It should not be felt mostly in your shoulders or arms.
A common mistake is locking the elbows or shrugging the shoulders. Keep a soft bend in your elbows and your shoulder blades set.

Tips
§ 05 · TipsKeep a soft elbow bend of about 20–30° and avoid locking your arms at the top. Brace your core and keep your shoulder blades down to prevent your shoulders from taking over the movement.
