Beginner's guide
§ 03 · GuideBuilds the upper chest, front delts and triceps. Getting stronger here carries over well to other pressing movements.
You should feel it mainly in your upper chest, with some work in the front delts, not mostly in your lower back or just your arms.
A common mistake is setting the bench too steep, making it too shoulder dominant. Keep it at 30 to 45 degrees and your shoulder blades pulled together.
