Beginner's guide
§ 03 · GuideThe pec deck targets your chest and helps build strength and muscle control. It also supports your bench press and other pressing movements.
You should feel it in your chest, not your front delts or arms. Keep your shoulder blades set throughout the movement.
A common mistake is letting your shoulders roll forward or using too much weight. Pick a load you can return under control.

Tips
§ 05 · TipsKeep the movement focused on your chest: don't let your shoulders roll forward, and maintain support from your shoulder blades. Use a load that allows you to return slowly without your elbow angle changing noticeably.
The pec deck is an effective isolation exercise for the chest when you're aiming for consistent muscle engagement and a controlled stretch.
