Workout app and calorie counter in one app
Short answer
SisuLift is a Finnish app where your gym program, workout log and calorie counter live in one place. The training side builds your program and works out your next weights. The nutrition side counts calories and macros using the Finnish Fineli food database and branded products. Because both live in the same app, your daily calorie target goes up on training days and down on rest days without you touching anything. The food diary and workout logging also work on the free plan.
Many people log workouts in one app and food in another. The two know nothing about each other, so the calorie counter has no idea you trained today. This page shows what combining them means in practice and what each side includes.
Why have training and nutrition in the same app?
When the app knows your program it also knows which days are training days. SisuLift spreads your weekly calories so you eat more on training days and less on rest days. The weekly average stays the same and the extra energy comes from carbs. If you move or skip a workout, the target moves to the right day.
Steps and active energy from your watch or phone come in through Health Connect or Apple Health and go straight into the day’s burn. Measured burn replaces the estimate, and the same movement is never counted twice.
When a workout is done and you still have protein left for the day, the app suggests a concrete amount, for example 35 grams, and opens food search right away.
On Premium the weekly analysis and the Grind coach see both your workouts and your food logs in one place.

What does it cost?
The free plan is permanent and needs no card. It includes workout logging, your own program for two training days and a food diary for calories and macros.
Premium costs €9.90 per month or €79.90 per year. New users get Premium free for 14 days without a card, and after that the app moves to the free plan on its own. In Finland the yearly plan can also be paid with ePassi or Edenred.
Who is this not for?
If you only want to count calories and you don’t train at the gym, a standalone calorie counter is enough. SisuLift’s nutrition side is built around gym training.
If you mostly run or cycle, your watch and its own app make a more natural main app. SisuLift counts your runs and steps in the day’s burn, but the programming is built for the gym.
Frequently asked
Does SisuLift have a calorie counter?
Yes. SisuLift has a food diary that counts calories and macros. Targets are calculated from your profile, and food search uses the Finnish Fineli database and branded products. Calories and macros also work on the free plan.
Does the calorie target go up on training days?
Yes. Calorie cycling is on by default: the target is higher on training days and lower on rest days, while the weekly average stays the same. You can switch the day type yourself with one tap if your plan changes.
Does it have Finnish foods?
Yes. Food search is based on THL’s Fineli database and branded products. You can add your own foods and recipes. Barcode scanning works in the app on Premium.
Can I track nutrition for free?
Yes. On the free plan you log calories and macros and see 7 days of nutrition history. Premium adds barcode scanning, photo recognition, fibre, salt and sugar, and a longer history.
Can I connect my watch’s calorie burn?
Yes. On iPhone through Apple Health and on Android through Health Connect, the app reads your steps and active energy and adds them to the day’s burn. This works in the iOS and Android apps, not in the browser version.
Which languages and platforms does it support?
SisuLift is made in Finland and works in Finnish and English on iPhone, Android and in the browser.
