How to perform

§ 02 · Steps
  1. 01

Lie on the decline bench and secure your feet firmly under the pads. Hold a weight plate or dumbbell against your chest.

  2. 02

Brace your core and keep your lower back in a neutral position. Pull your shoulder blades slightly back and down, then lower yourself under control until your upper back is close to the bench.

  3. 03

Raise your torso by rolling your spine up and squeeze your abs hard. Keep the weight close to your chest without pulling on your neck.

  4. 04

Pause briefly at the top, then lower yourself back down slowly. Keep your core braced and control the movement through the entire range of motion.
