How to perform

  1. 01

    Adjust the rings or bar to a suitable height and lie underneath them on your back. Grip them at shoulder width with your arms straight.

  2. 02

    Keep your body in a straight line from your heels to your shoulders, brace your core and glutes, and keep your heels on the ground.

  3. 03

    Pull your chest toward the rings or bar by driving your elbows back and pulling your shoulder blades together.

  4. 04

    Lower yourself back down under control until your arms are straight, and maintain a straight body line throughout the entire repetition.

What it should feel like

You should feel the pull in your back, especially around the shoulder blades. It should not be felt mostly in your biceps or hands.

Most common mistake

A common mistake is letting your hips sag or your body bend. Keep your core tight and your body in a straight line throughout the rep.
