How to perform

§ 02 · Steps
  1. 01

Adjust the seat and chest pad so the handles are close to the front of your body and allow a full range of motion, then load the machine with weight plates.

  2. 02

Sit down with your feet firmly on the foot platforms, take a neutral grip on the handles, and brace your core while keeping your spine neutral against the chest pad.

  3. 03

Pull the handles toward your lower abdomen with your elbows close to your sides, and pull your shoulder blades back and together at the end of the movement without letting your shoulders rise.

  4. 04

Pause briefly at the top and squeeze your back.

  5. 05

Lower the handles back forward under control, allowing your shoulder blades to move forward in a controlled manner while maintaining core tension throughout.

Tips

§ 04 · Tips

Keep your chest against the chest pad and avoid extending your lower back so the load stays on your back muscles. Think about driving your elbows backward and stop the movement before your shoulders begin to round forward.
