Hip Raise (bent knee)

The exercise targets the abdominal muscles and reduces the involvement of the hip flexors by keeping the knees bent.

How to perform

§ 02 · Steps
  1. 01

    Lie on your back on the floor, bend your knees to approximately 90 degrees, and keep your feet firmly planted on the floor.

  2. 02

    Brace your core, gently press your lower back into the floor, and keep your pelvis in a neutral position.

  3. 03

    Raise your pelvis toward the ceiling by posteriorly tilting your pelvis, and squeeze your abdominal muscles strongly at the top of the movement.

  4. 04

    Lower your pelvis back to the starting position in a controlled manner, keeping the position of your lower back unchanged and preventing your back from arching.

Keep the movement short and controlled; do not extend your back by bending at the hips. Keep your chin slightly tucked and your ribs down to maintain core tension throughout each repetition.
