Cable High to Low Woodchopper

How to perform

§ 02 · Steps
  1. 01

    Stand sideways to the cable machine with the high pulley handle farthest from you. Take a staggered stance and brace your core.

  2. 02

    Grip the handle with both hands above your chest, and keep your shoulders down with your shoulder blades lightly pulled back and down.

  3. 03

    Pull the handle in a controlled motion from high to low across your body toward the opposite hip by rotating your thoracic spine, and allow your hips to rotate with the movement without bending at the hips.

  4. 04

    Pause at the bottom, briefly squeeze your abs, and keep your arms nearly straight.

  5. 05

    Slowly return the handle to the starting position under the cable's resistance and repeat, then switch sides.
