How to perform

§ 02 · Steps
  1. 01

    Set an incline bench to about a 30–45 degree angle and lie with your chest against the bench, keeping your feet firmly on the floor.

  2. 02

    Take an underhand grip (palms facing up) on the barbell at shoulder width and let your arms hang straight down toward the floor.

  3. 03

    Brace your core and row the barbell toward your lower abdomen with your elbows close to your body while pulling your shoulder blades back and down.

  4. 04

    Pause at the top and squeeze your back without letting your chest lift off the bench.

  5. 05

    Lower the barbell slowly back to the starting position and keep your shoulders down throughout the movement.

Keep your chest firmly against the bench and avoid rounding your upper back. Do not let your wrists bend; maintain a firm underhand grip throughout each repetition.
