  1. 01

Support yourself at the top of the dip station with your arms straight, and attach additional weight with a dip belt or hold a dumbbell between your feet.

  2. 02

Pull your shoulder blades back and down, brace your core, keep your torso nearly upright, and keep your elbows close to your sides.

  3. 03

Lower yourself under control by bending your elbows until your upper arms are about parallel to the floor and you feel a stretch in your triceps without shoulder pain.

  4. 04

Push yourself back up by straightening your elbows, and squeeze hard at the top without letting your shoulders rise toward your ears.

  5. 05

Perform all repetitions through the same range of motion, keep the movement controlled, and maintain a neutral wrist position.

Tips

§ 04 · Tips

Keep your elbows angled slightly back and close to your body so the load stays on your triceps instead of shifting to your chest. Use a full range of motion only as far as your shoulders feel stable and pain-free.
