Position yourself on parallel bars or a dip station with your arms straight at shoulder width and a firm grip.

Brace your core and lightly pull your shoulder blades back and down, keeping your chest slightly open.

Lower your body under control by bending your elbows to about a 90-degree angle, keeping your elbows close to your body.

Push yourself back up by squeezing your triceps to return to the starting position. Exhale as you push up and inhale as you lower.

You should feel it mainly in your triceps, with some work in the chest. It should not be felt in the front of your shoulders or your wrists.
A common mistake is flaring the elbows or dropping too deep. Keep your elbows close to your sides and lower under control to about 90 degrees.
