Position yourself in the machine so the belt sits securely on your hips, with your feet shoulder-width apart and your toes slightly pointed out.

Brace your core and maintain a neutral spine with your chest up.

Lower yourself under control by bending your knees and hips until your thighs are approximately parallel to the floor.

Drive through your heels to extend your knees and hips, and squeeze your quadriceps at the top without locking your knees.

You should feel it in your quads and glutes. It should not feel like strain in your lower back or pain in your knees.
A common mistake is letting the knees cave in or shifting onto the toes. Keep your knees tracking over your toes and drive through your heels.

Tips
§ 05 · TipsKeep your knees aligned with your toes and do not let them cave inward. Keep your weight on your heels and avoid excessive forward lean to protect your back.
