How to perform

  1. 01

    Stand with your feet hip-width apart, keep your knees slightly bent, and brace your core.

  2. 02

    Hold a dumbbell in each hand with your palms facing down, and keep your elbows slightly bent and relaxed.

  3. 03

    Raise the dumbbells forward in a controlled motion, using primarily your front deltoids, and stop when your arms are parallel to the floor; feel the contraction in your shoulders.

  4. 04

    Lower the dumbbells back to the starting position over 2–3 seconds, keeping your core braced and avoiding swinging your body.
