Stand facing away from the cable machine with your feet hip-width apart and the cable running between your legs.

Grip the rope attachment with both hands, step forward until the weight stack lifts, and brace your core.

Hinge at your hips: push your hips back, keep your spine neutral, and let your hands move between your legs without squatting.

Drive your hips forward and squeeze your glutes hard until you are standing upright and the rope is in front of your hips.

Return under control to the hip-hinged position, keeping tension on the cable the entire time.
