Terms of Service

1. Service Description

SisuLift is a training tracking and coaching service that utilizes artificial intelligence to create personalized training programs. The service includes workout logging, progress tracking, and AI-assisted coaching.

2. Registration and User Account

Using the service requires registration. The service is intended for users aged 16 or older; if you are under 16, you need your guardian's consent. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity through your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect misuse of your account.

3. Paid Services

The service offers a free basic version and paid additional features. Paid subscriptions are charged in advance according to the selected period. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time, and the service continues until the end of the period. Paid fees are generally not refunded mid-period. If you purchased the subscription through an app store (App Store or Google Play), refunds are handled according to that store's own refund policies. This does not limit your rights under mandatory consumer protection law.

4. AI Coaching and Health Disclaimers

Important: SisuLift's AI coach provides general training instructions and recommendations. The service is not a medical advisory service and does not replace the advice of a healthcare professional.

• Consult a doctor before starting a new training program
• Do not continue training if you feel pain or discomfort
• AI recommendations are general and do not account for all individual factors
• The user is responsible for their own training and its safety

5. AI Conversation Storage

Conversations with the AI coach are stored in our database. By accepting these terms, you understand and agree that:

• All messages you send to the AI chat are stored
• Conversations are retained for 24 months for service development and conversation history maintenance
• Your messages are sent to OpenAI's servers to generate AI responses
• Administration has technical access to conversations (used only for support and misuse investigation)

Do not share in AI chat: social security numbers, bank details, passwords, sensitive health information, or other confidential data.

6. User Obligations

You agree not to:

• Use the service for illegal purposes
• Attempt to disrupt or damage the service
• Share your account with other users
• Send spam or harmful content
• Attempt to circumvent service restrictions or protections
• Send sensitive or illegal content to the AI chat
• Use the service to develop a competing product or service, or to systematically analyse or benchmark the service's features for commercial purposes or on behalf of a third party
• Collect service content by automated means (including scraping, bots, and crawlers), or copy, extract, or re-use the service's content or databases, or substantial parts of them

7. Intellectual Property and Content Protection

The service, its software, content, and databases (excluding user-submitted data) are the property of Finacode Oy (SisuLift) or licensed to it. You are granted only a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your own personal use. In particular:

• The service's exercise library, training instructions, nutrition content, translations, and other content collections are protected by copyright and by the sui generis database right under the EU Database Directive (96/9/EC). Copying, extracting, or re-using them, or substantial parts of them, without written permission is prohibited.
• The service's algorithms, workout generation and progression logic, and other non-public implementation details are trade secrets protected by the Finnish Trade Secrets Act (595/2018). Their unlawful acquisition, use, or disclosure is prohibited.
• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the service is prohibited except to the extent expressly permitted by mandatory law.
• As a user, you retain rights to your own data and can export it at any time.

If you use the service in the course of business (for example via the coach portal), the prohibitions above also apply to the company or organisation you represent, and breaching them may result in termination of access and liability for damages.

8. Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the service. We are not liable for injuries or health issues resulting from training, data loss (we recommend regular exports), indirect damages, inaccuracy or incompleteness of AI responses, or the operation of third-party services (OpenAI, Stripe, Supabase).

9. Service Changes

We may change the service features, prices, and these terms. We will notify you of significant changes by email at least 14 days in advance. By continuing to use the service after changes, you accept the updated terms.

10. Account Closure

You can delete your account at any time from settings (Settings > Privacy and data). We may close or restrict your account if you violate these terms. After account closure, your data will be deleted in accordance with the privacy policy within 30 days.

11. Applicable Law

Finnish law applies to these terms. Disputes are primarily resolved through negotiation, secondarily in Finnish general courts. As a consumer, you may also refer disputes to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi).
